Lee Young Ae,a.k.a. "Jang Geum" Gave Birth to Twins

Just a few nights ago, Mama caught a glimpse of Lee Young Ae's "house of fo(?)" c.f. and our talk suddenly shifted to the Korean actresses we first liked from their dramas shown while I was still in the Philippines...

Oh, she would  be surprised later when I tell her about this news...

By Lee Hyo-won

Actress Lee Young-ae became a mother to twins, Sunday.

The 40-year-old gave natural birth to a girl and boy, around 10:30 a.m. at Cheil Hospital, Seoul, her agency Storm S Company announced Monday. The babies are fraternal twins.

"The mother and babies are healthy,” said the agency.

The movie star had been off the public radar since starring in Park Chan-wook’s 2005 award-winning film ``Sympathy for Lady Vengeance,’’ and surprised fans by secretly marrying a Korean-American businessman, Jeong Ho-yeong, in August 2009.

In September that year, Lee entered Hanyang University to pursue graduate studies and had been working toward a doctorate degree in theater and film.

Last April, the actress made headlines when she and her husband were spotted attending a basketball game in Seoul. The couple was photographed sitting in VIP seats for the Korean Basketball League match between the Ulsan Mobis Phoebus and Jeonju KCC at Jamsil Gymnasium.

Lee rose to international stardom by playing a lady of the court, Jang-geum, in the period TV drama ``Jewel in the Palace.’’
So where had I been hybernating since July last year when news of her pregnancy broke out?kkkk...

Oh, I'm so happy for her..

Hotel California: Not The Same Without Felder...

Been seeing ads on TV of  "Eagle's" LONG ROAD OUT OF EDEN WORLD TOUR concert at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul on March 15. It would be nice to go see it as a "post partum date" or "treat" if husband couldn't make it but that's just impossible... How could I leave Soo Ae at home with him, kkk....

But knowing Don Felder isn't in the band anymore makes me just thank him for joining the band for the "Hell Freezes Over" concert.. I always had a great time watching it (over and over and over) with my aunt on DVD..

It would be a very good experience to finally watch the band sing Hotel California live... But it won't be the same without Felder, for me... Afterall,  he wrote most of the music of "this song," the band's biggest claim to fame...

(here he is...)

World's Best: South Korea's Incheon Int'l Airport...

While Incheon International Airport is hailed again as the world's best for its 6th consecutive year, I can't help but smile as I remembered my Mom's complaint about it when she arrived last Dec. 15.

BTW, here's the story:

Seoul (The Korea Herald/ANN) - South Korea's Incheon International Airport was selected the Best Airport Worldwide in Airport Service Quality in 2010 for the sixth consecutive year, beating rivals Changyi Airport of Singapore and Hong Kong International Airport, the country's Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs said.

It is the first time that an airport has won the award six years in a row. Dubai Airport won the award for three consecutive years from 2001 to 2003.

The ASQ is a comprehensive set of awards granted by Airports Council International, an association of around 1700 airports worldwide.

South Korea's major gateway also won first places in Best Airport in Asia Pacific and Best Airport with annual passenger traffic between 25 and 40 million, the ministry said.

Ministry officials attributed the airport's notable success as a Northeast Asian hub to its constant efforts to seek innovation.

The list includes expanding its international routes, improving the airport's accessibility by establishing a railway and Incheon Bridge, which connects it with nearby cities, and offering prompt and efficient services to users, according to the ministry.

Gimpo Airport, meanwhile, won the first place for the Best Airport with 15-25 million annual passengers.

She isn't a fan of the airport's "long walk" to the arrival's gates but she definitely likes the service, structure and it's interior.

And for her fast approaching return to the PH, she's actually dreading the long walk going to her gate but I assured her it would be a little different or shorter this time.  She's thinking of just putting everything in her luggage so she won't be carrying something else other than her handbag.

P.S.

Thanks to Anonym, I remembered this funny experience at the airport the last time we were there.  A crew(?)/production team had to re-shoot what they'd just finished as I didn't see them when Alex and I were looking for my Mom at the airport.  I didn't notice the cameras rolling so I just passed by in front of them to check the arrivals from that particular gate...  Seeing my condition maybe, they didn't bother talking to me.  It was really late when I saw them and I just guiltily smiled at them and bowed, as if I was so sorry, when I heard someone talking to the participants/contestants to go back inside the arrivals gate for a re-shoot.  Yeah, it's a talent show that's currently airing and they invited participants from abroad or Kyopos...

Two Weeks and Learning...

I woke up to her throaty and nasal sounds..
When I opened my eyes,
I immediately saw her sweet face,
smiling up at me..
The thought occurred to me...
Wasn't I the one putting her to sleep? Hahaha...
This happened to me twice today.
But no, there's no room for giving up...

At exactly 7:11pm tonight,
Soo Ae will be 2 weeks old...

Husband and I couldn't express how we feel
now that she's getting "older" and "bigger"... hehe...

We just pray for her health and well-being everytime.
We continuously learn from her.
We all grow together...

(My 2 weeks old Little Miss)
